Don't get me wrong, I love a summer wedding! But a beautiful Canadian snowy filled wedding day is as dreamy and romantic as it gets. Think lace sleeves, furry capes and visually stunning photographs that will feel like straight out of a winter wonderland.
And while the shorter winter days may seem less appealing at first, think of the early golden sunset hour you can take advantage of for your photos and the romantic candles and fairy lights you can bring out early for your reception.
And on another positive note, Winter venue bookings are also much slower and easier to book for the date of your dreams - and often times give a winter discount on the venue, food and drinks - leaving you extra to spend on flowers or your honeymoon!
Speaking of honeymoons, who doesn't want to go away on a romantic post wedding holiday to warm up together in the hot sun while its chilly back home.
Venues in the Okanagan that will ALWAYS have snow:

Any Ski hill in the area will be a sure bet to guarantee the white fluffy stuff is around for your winter wedding. You can get creative with the venues and use the ski lodges that are open during the day for skiing but close by 4:30 and available for a wedding reception.
Even if you have a wedding in town and there isn't a fresh dump of snow, go up in elevation to see the lake in the distance with the snowy hills behind or get down to the lake to show the beautiful snowy mountain reflections.

Marketing & Design
Okay, your cool blog is done. Now all that’s left is to publish and get readers. Think of blogging as part of your marketing strategy – because it really is.
Blogs help people find you through search engines. But you can also share your blogs on social media platforms to get people ooh-ing and ahh-ing over your work on your website. The goal is to show them around the place, dazzle them with your work, and hopefully they’ll end up booking their own sessions – or signing up for updates! Sharing is easy. Just click “Share” and post to the social media of your choice. Done and done.
Our last notes are about design. Both for your overall blog layout and for each post.

People are visual creatures... but you know that already. A beautiful blog will encourage people to stay & read more! Your blog comes with a bunch of layout options so you can create a gorgeous experience for your readers.
-
If you write a longer article, try to break up the words with images peppered throughout. Photos make for a more enjoyable read!
-
If you have extra widgets, you can easily embed them in the footer or sidebar of your blog. Putting in a subscription form, for instance, is a great idea to keep people hooked on reading your blog!
That’s about it! You now know everything you need to make a great blog for your business! Good luck, champ. I know you’ve got this. But if you ever have any questions, drop us a line, and we’ll be glad to help!
Happy blogging!
Xoxo,
